Groundwork Leeds is committed to providing opportunities for volunteering and student placements within our work. Within the Groundwork themes, we have a wide range of projects where volunteering opportunities are available.

Volunteer Profile - Frank Edwards

Photo: Frank EdwardsFrank Edwards is our oldest volunteer, now approaching his 83rd birthday. He has been a volunteer with Groundwork since 1989 and joined as the British Rail liaison officer. Frank is now the volunteer coordinator, assisting with the welfare needs of volunteers at Groundwork. During this time with Groundwork, he has helped hundreds of volunteers gain employment. He is also active in the political scene within Leeds. Frank has also been awarded an MBE by Her Majesty the Queen for his services to the community and regeneration of Leeds.
